A group of elite space marines, the Rapid Response Tactical Squad, is dispatched to a Martian research facility following a security alert. Upon arrival, they discover that the alarm was triggered by a dangerous test subject—a convicted killer who was deliberately infused with alien DNA—who has escaped and is now on a murderous rampage. Dr. Grimm, a scientist with a connection to one of the marines, Reaper, reveals that the alien chromosome has the potential to transform humans into monstrous beings and is extremely contagious.
