Overview

Hoài and Vận’s romance blooms amid the chaos of the anti-French resistance, where Vận serves as a guerrilla fighter while also secretly rowing fellow soldiers across the river under cover of darkness. Their bond deepens with every risky crossing, but the ceasefire shatters their world: Vietnam is cleaved in two at the Bến Hải River, and the couple finds themselves stranded on opposite banks, their love now a bridge that politics has burned.
