After his fall, Martin discovers he has detached retinas and is secretly caring for an injured man. Diana works with Jack to locate his grandson, while Joyce receives troubling news about John. Finch makes an effort to conceal his illegal dealings from Mrs. Gulliver (Carolyn Pickles). Meanwhile, Bea forms a friendship with Salvatore Zappulo (Cesare Taurasi), an Italian POW, and Connie finds herself flirting with Henry (Liam Garrigan), the piano player.
