Overview
Seventeen years ago, the first immortals emerged on African battlefields. Soon after, strange new undying beings began surfacing among humanity, dubbed "Ajin"—demi-humans. Just before summer break, a Japanese high schooler dies instantly in a traffic accident on his way home. But he wakes up, alive again, with a bounty suddenly placed on his head. His ordinary life shatters as he becomes a fugitive, hunted by all of mankind.
