Despite it being April, the chill in the air frustrates the residents when Baines shuts off the central heating, proposing they jog to warm up instead. Seeking to escape the frigid house, Tom and Diana opt to find jobs. Tom teams up with Geoffrey, but his irritable nature drives Tom to the edge. In a bid to rid himself of Tom's constant presence, Geoffrey offers Baines money to restore the heating, hoping to bring back some comfort to their lives.
