In the courtroom, a Ukrainian nanny faces accusations of shaking Baby Jonathan to death, a claim she vehemently denies. As a juror, Deed seeks additional medical evidence and uncovers a link to Jo's case, where she suggests that the MMR vaccine might have contributed to the baby's demise. Meanwhile, Marc Thompson is called to South Africa to testify about the country's child vaccination program, leading Jo to question their upcoming marriage. After a heated argument with Marc, she reconnects with Deed, only to have another disagreement, as he seems preoccupied with a fellow judge.
