Great Expectations
Overview
In 20th-century Shanghai, Hong Sanyuan travels with his mother and loyal friend Qi Lin, hoping to build a new future. He soon falls under the wing of Yan Hua, a local ferry boss. As Hong navigates the fierce rivalry between two major business conglomerates, he finds himself pulled deeper into the city’s political currents, gradually losing his innocence amid the chaos.
