The day before Mama's birthday, Vint decides to craft her a gift instead of purchasing one. His creation—a rather unattractive cocktail belt—leaves Bubba feeling puzzled when he sees it. Shortly after, Vint’s boss, Mr. Carstairs, arrives at their door with a special gift he bought for his “Mother,” a term he uses for his wife: a stunning $200 diamond bracelet. Things take a turn when Mama discovers the bracelet and mistakenly believes it’s meant for her, as the card reads "to my darling mother." Unable to accept such an extravagant gift, she returns it to the store, using the store credit to buy presents for everyone: Bubba gets an LP, Naomi receives new bed sheets, and Vint ends up with the watch he wanted.
