Episode Overview

Mitch Buchannon has recently been elevated to the rank of lieutenant. He finds himself in a heated disagreement with his ex-wife Gayle regarding what’s best for their son, Hobie. Meanwhile, Eddie Kramer stands out as the star rookie of the class of '89, while Shauni McClain struggles to qualify. Initially, she performs poorly as a lifeguard, but with the guidance of seasoned lifeguard Jill Riley, Shauni begins to improve and learns the skills necessary to succeed in her role.
