Episode Overview

Floyd Smoot, the local train conductor, is pursuing a romance through letters. However, his confidence takes a hit when the woman he’s been writing to decides to end things after seeing his photograph. In an effort to lift his spirits, Kate insists that all the women in Hooterville are infatuated with him. Misinterpreting her encouragement, Floyd believes that Kate has feelings for him. To distract him from this notion, Kate devises a clever scheme. Meanwhile, the Hooterville Hornets football team, led by Coach Uncle Joe, is stuck in a frustrating losing streak.
