In August 1993, 22-year-old Calvin Broadus Jr., better recognized as Snoop Doggy Dog, was rising rapidly in the ranks of gangsta rap. However, that same year, he found himself entangled in serious legal trouble after being charged with the murder of 20-year-old Ethiopian Philip Woldermariam at a park in Los Angeles.
