Meanwhile, Sheryl is in the middle of her final Sayonara tour rehearsal when word breaks that the Macross Galaxy fleet has come under assault by a massive Vajra swarm. With the threat escalating, President Howard Glass makes the call to finally reveal the existence of these new enemies to the public.
