Just before the Deadloch Winter Feastival kicks off, the lifeless body of Trent Latham, the coach of the local football team, is discovered on the beach. Senior Sergeant Dulcie Collins steps up to oversee the case, but tensions rise when Detective Eddie Redcliffe arrives from Darwin to take the lead on the investigation.
