Felicity provides guidance to an advisee who is trying to win over her distant boyfriend by following tips from a magazine. Meanwhile, Ben's unusual behavior concerns Felicity, and he eventually admits that he heard her tape, struggling with the thought of her having feelings for him. In an effort to reconnect, Felicity revisits the magazine article and decides to tone down her intensity. However, she ultimately breaks up with Ben, feeling he wants her to change. In her heartache, she opts for a drastic short haircut. Meanwhile, Julie hosts a large party at the loft, charging admission, while Elena assists Noel in getting a girl’s phone number.
