As reports of "Ghoul" attacks circulate, Ken Kaneki spots Rize, a girl he’s drawn to, while at a coffee shop with his friend Hide. After discovering they both admire the same author, Kaneki gathers the courage to ask her out. Unfortunately, the date takes a dark turn, leading to an unforeseen tragedy.
