Cambridge Spies S01E01 - Episode One

Episode Overview

At Cambridge University, two students, Philby and Maclean, are approached by intelligence agents with a proposition to spy. Philby quickly figures out that it's not British Intelligence that seeks their services, but rather the Russians. They consent to work for the Soviets, and after the academic year concludes, Kim heads to Vienna, where he marries the devoted communist Lettie Friedman. Upon his return to England, Philby’s contact, Blunt, informs him that the marriage jeopardizes their mission, forcing Philby to take steps to dissolve the union.
