Episode Overview

On his initial day on the job, rookie officer Ben Sherman is paired with the tough-as-nails veteran cop John Cooper, who serves as his training officer. Following a traumatic incident involving a fatal shooting, Ben starts to doubt whether he's made the right career choice. Meanwhile, detectives Sammy Bryant and Nate Moretta are working hard to persuade a young girl, who witnessed an attempted murder of a boy wrongly thought to be in a gang, to come forward and testify. Additionally, Detective Lydia Adams is looking into the case of a missing young girl.
