Overview

From 1970 to 1984, the BBC aired *Play for Today* on BBC1, a British anthology drama series. Over its run, it showcased more than three hundred programmes, including original television plays alongside adaptations of stage works and novels. Each episode varied in length, lasting between fifty and a hundred minutes.
