In this episode, Pete Roe, a skilled craft mason and mountain rescuer, is summoned to locate a puppy that has tumbled into a 50-foot sinkhole close to Wensleydale. Meanwhile, in the Lakes, sheepdog trainer Katy Cropper, the first woman to triumph in One Man and His Dog, grapples with the spirited dog Connor. At Kilnsey Park, estate owner Jamie Roberts is in a frantic rush to prepare for The Kilnsey Show. Additionally, antique upholsterer Angela Butcher receives a special commission at Muncaster Castle.
