When most Americans think of "dance," Milwaukee might not be the first place that comes to mind. Yet, it served as the final location for auditions for the 2008 season of "So You Think You Can Dance?" before the contestants headed to Las Vegas for the next stage. Who knows what this renowned beer city might bring? After a quirky montage showcasing judge Nigel Lythgoe's amusing reactions to hip hop dancers, the auditions kicked off. To fill some extra airtime, producers shared auditions from earlier cities. Michael Kim, who auditioned in Washington, D.C., impressed with his popping but fell short in the samba during Season 2. From LA, roommates Katee Shean and Natalie Reid both secured their spots in Vegas. Meanwhile, salsa dancers Janette Manrara and Romulo Villaverde dazzled the audience with their impressive moves, but only Janette progressed to the choreography round, leaving Romulo behind.
