Overview

Tom, four, Suzanne, eight, and Derek, ten, arrive at their grandparents' place for the weekend, only to find everything off-kilter. Grandpa drifts in his own world, Grandma—the source of Tom's beloved magical tales—is nowhere to be seen, and Derek throws himself into fixing up the old treehouse. Determined to bridge the silence, Suzanne steps into her grandmother's shoes, spinning imaginative, luminous stories that sweep through the house.
