Mark Coreth, a sculptor, carves a life-sized polar bear from ice in London’s Trafalgar Square, hoping to freeze the Arctic’s wild spirit in a single, tangible form. But the sun and city warmth take their toll, dissolving the majestic creature day by day. What remains is a stark, dripping skeleton—a haunting ghost of what once was—surrounded by a growing pool of meltwater.
