Jofroi

Overview

Jofroi sells his orchard to Alphonse, who promptly plans to clear the trees for crops. Enraged at the destruction of his beloved trees, Jofroi vows to kill himself, ensuring the townspeople will hold Alphonse responsible and make his life a misery. Determined to prevent this, Alphonse, the curate, the teacher, and several locals spend the rest of the film desperately trying to stop Jofroi from carrying out his threat.
