Overview

In 1933 Germany, a distinguished Jewish chief of surgery refuses to see the Nazi menace closing in around him. He brushes off his son’s political warnings and a patient’s desperate pleas as mere overreaction. But as anti-Semitic hostility creeps into daily life, his family becomes the target of escalating persecution, forcing him to confront the harrowing reality he once denied.
