Thicker Than Water

Overview

Oliver lands in hot water with his wife after skipping a furniture payment—he'd handed the cash to Stanley, who used it to settle his rent with Mrs. Hardy. Taking Stan's advice, Ollie empties their bank account to cover the furniture, but accidentally blows nearly all of it at an auction on a grandfather clock that a passing truck promptly demolishes. Mrs. Hardy then unintentionally injures Ollie so badly he's raced to the hospital for a transfusion, where the doctor drafts a reluctant Stan as donor. The procedure goes awry, and when the pair exits the hospital, they've somehow swapped appearances.
