Overview

Fresh out of prison, Toni finds it difficult to rebuild a bond with her daughter Anna, who has grown up under the care of her grandmother Betty. The temptation of her ex-lover Max’s criminal lifestyle lingers, and when she takes a job at her uncle Frank’s restaurant, she uncovers his smuggling operation. Max drags her into a violent confrontation at the docks, drawing police scrutiny.
