Overview

Detective Heizo, portrayed by Koshiro Matsumoto, is on the trail of the infamous thief Tanbei Chigashira. However, Kumehachi, a former accomplice of the criminal, insists that the man they're chasing is a fraud. According to Kumehachi, the genuine Tanbei Chigashira lived by a strict code: he never took a life, never harmed women, and never robbed the impoverished.
