Overview

Jawu carries the bloodline of a warrior king, yet she spends her days hawking swallows in the market, scraping together coins for the future she dreams of giving her son. They live in Agbojedo, a floating shantytown bobbing on the lagoon beneath Lagos. When whispers spread that developers plan to demolish their homes, Jawu stumbles upon a corrupt politician burying a stash of cash. She seizes the fortune, convinced it’s her escape route—unaware that fate has already marked her for a far greater struggle lurking ahead.
