Overview

Rudolf, the sole successor to Austria-Hungary’s throne, finds himself shackled in a cold, arranged union with a Belgian princess. Desperate to escape the suffocating constraints of court life, he crosses paths with the alluring Maria, igniting a forbidden romance. Even as Emperor Franz Josef tries to tear them apart, their defiant bond only grows stronger, and neither is willing to let go.
