Treasure, fresh out of juvenile detention, finds herself in an adult prison where she unexpectedly discovers that her mother, Brownie, is also incarcerated. Brownie, a seasoned gang leader serving a life sentence, takes Treasure under her protection, shielding her from the harsh realities of prison life.
