Ra Paulette carves cathedral-like caves into the sandstone cliffs of Northern New Mexico, each one a breathtaking, decade-long masterpiece often called the eighth wonder of the world. But nearly every patron who hired him has pulled the plug over artistic clashes. Frustrated, Ra has abandoned commissions entirely to focus on his own magnum opus—a colossal, ten-year project he’s building on his own terms.
