Jessica, an apple farmer's daughter from a struggling family, holds onto her belief in Santa Claus. When she discovers a reindeer with a hurt leg, she is convinced it must be Prancer, who has escaped from a local Christmas display. Determined to help, she secretly cares for the reindeer in her barn, feeding it cookies while planning to return it to Santa. However, her father stumbles upon the creature and, instead of selling it for meat, decides to use it as a promotional tool, threatening Jessica's heartfelt mission.
