Virumaandi

Overview

Angela, a civil rights advocate, is at Madras Central Prison filming a documentary about capital punishment. There, she encounters Virumaandi and Kothaala, two inmates serving death and life sentences for their involvement in a bloody village feud that left 24 people dead. As the prison atmosphere grows increasingly volatile, Angela listens to their radically different versions of the same tragic events, each man painting himself as the victim and the other as the villain.
