Sten Ivar Ljunggren, born on October 16, 1938, is a distinguished Swedish character actor renowned for his diverse roles across television and film. He gained significant acclaim for his portrayal of Henrik in the popular Swedish drama series "Svenska hjärtan," which captivated audiences from 1987 to 1998. Ljunggren's versatility is evident in his performance as criminal inspector Lennart Thorin in the gripping mini-series inspired by the Lasermannen incidents.
In addition to his television work, Ljunggren has lent his voice to memorable characters, including Carl Fredricksen in the Swedish version of Pixar's "Up" and Sykes in the dubbed adaptation of Disney's "Oliver & Company." He also showcased his comedic talent as the villainous principal in the cult classic "Kenny Starfighter."
Ljunggren's collaboration with acclaimed director Lukas Moodysson is noteworthy; he starred as Birger in Moodysson's final short film "Talk."
