Thomas William Selleck, born on January 29, 1945, is a renowned American actor and film producer, celebrated primarily for his iconic portrayal of private investigator Thomas Magnum in the 1980s television series Magnum, P.I., set in Hawaii. Additionally, he is recognized for his role as Jesse Stone in a series of television films adapted from the works of author Robert B. Parker. Since 2010, Selleck has portrayed Commissioner Frank Reagan in the CBS drama Blue Bloods.
Selleck's television career spans a wide array of roles, including Dr. Richard Burke on the popular sitcom Friends and A.J. Cooper in the series Las Vegas. Beyond his television endeavors, he has appeared in over fifty films, both made for television and theatrical releases.
