Walter Rilla (August 22, 1894 – November 21, 1980) was a prominent German actor of Jewish heritage, whose extensive career spanned over five decades. Born in Neunkirchen, Germany, Rilla made his film debut in 1922 and went on to feature in more than 130 films until his retirement in 1977. His diverse body of work showcased his versatility as an actor, earning him recognition in the German film industry. Rilla’s legacy is further enriched by his familial connections; he was the father of Wolf Rilla, a celebrated director who notably directed him in the film "Cairo."
