Paul Thomas Wasilewski, widely recognized as Paul Wesley, is a multifaceted American actor, director, producer, and writer. Born in New Brunswick, New Jersey, he has a unique connection to Poland, spending four months each year there until he turned 16, which has granted him fluency in Polish.

Wesley's career began with a role in the soap opera NBC's Another World, where he played Sean McKinnon. He gained further recognition in 2001 as Luke Cates in the CBS series Wolf Lake, which, despite its short run, showcased his talent. Over the years, Wesley has made notable appearances in various popular television shows, including 24, 8 Simple Rules, American Dreams, Army Wives, Cane, Everwood, Guiding Light, Smallville, and The O.C.

However, he is perhaps best celebrated for his portrayal of Stefan Salvatore in the hit supernatural drama series The Vampire Diaries, a role that solidified his status as a household name.
