Claire Du Brey, born Clara Violet Dubrey on August 31, 1892, was a prominent American actress known for her extensive film career spanning from 1916 to 1959. Over the course of her career, she featured in more than 200 films, showcasing her versatility across various genres. Du Brey began her cinematic journey with Universal Studios, eventually collaborating with nearly every major film studio of her time.

Some of her most notable performances can be seen in films such as "Anything Once" (1917), "Social Briars" (1918), "The Devil's Trail" (1919), and "What Every Woman Wants" (1919). Additionally, she appeared in "Dangerous Hours" (1919), "The Wishing Ring Man," "The Spite Bride," "The World Aflame," and "The Walk Offs." As the transition to sound films took place, her roles became more limited, often relegated to smaller parts.

Beyond her acting career, Du Brey was an accomplished athlete with skills in swimming, horseback riding, golf, tennis, and motoring. Standing at five feet seven inches tall and weighing 130 pounds, she was known for her auburn hair and brown eyes. Additionally, she had a passion for horticulture, reflecting her diverse interests beyond the silver screen.
