Faran Tahir

Biography

Faran Haroon Tahir (Urdu: فاران ہارون طاہر) is an actor based in the United States.

He made his cinematic debut portraying Nathoo in Disney's 1994 adaptation of The Jungle Book. Following this, Tahir took on a diverse array of characters, including Raza in Iron Man (2008), Captain Robau in the 2009 film Star Trek, and President Patel in Elysium (2013). Notably, in 2016, he took on the lead role of Othello in a production by the Shakespeare Theatre Company located in Washington, D.C.

With a career spanning several decades, Tahir has established himself as a versatile performer, showcasing his talent across various genres in both film and theater. His work reflects a commitment to the craft and a profound ability to embody complex characters.
