Biography
Lelia Goldoni was a prominent American actress whose career spanned several decades, beginning in the late 1940s. She made her debut in minor, uncredited roles in notable films such as Joseph L. Mankiewicz's *House of Strangers* and John Huston's *We Were Strangers*, both released in 1949. Her talent soon found a platform on television, where she appeared in an episode of the British series *Danger Man* titled "Fair Exchange" alongside Patrick MacGoohan in 1964.
Goldoni gained significant recognition for her role in John Cassavetes's innovative film *Shadows* (1959), which is often credited with helping to shape independent cinema. Later, she showcased her range in Martin Scorsese's *Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore* (1974), where she played the supportive best friend to Ellen Burstyn's character, further solidifying her status in the film industry.
