Johann Urb, an Estonian-American actor and former model, was born on January 24, 1977, in Tallinn, Estonia. He is the son of Tarmo Urb, an accomplished musician, and Maris Urb. Johann's artistic lineage is further highlighted by his uncle, Toomas Urb, who is also known for his talents in acting and music.

At the age of ten, Urb relocated to Finland with his mother and her new husband, where he spent his formative years in Tampere. Upon turning 17, he made a significant move to the United States to join his father and embark on a career in modeling.
