Jackson Yee
Biography
Jackson Yee (Chinese: 易烊千玺; pinyin: Yi Yangqianxi; born 28 November 2000) is a prominent Chinese actor and singer, who honed his craft at The Central Academy of Drama. By the age of 13, he had already established himself as a significant star across Asia, but it was his film debut in the Oscar-nominated *Better Days* (2019) that propelled him to international acclaim. His performance, filmed when he was just 17, garnered him a multitude of Best Newcomer accolades.
Yee's impressive filmography includes a series of blockbuster successes, such as *A Little Red Flower* (2020), *The Battle at Lake Changjin* (2021)—China's highest-grossing live-action film—*Nice View* (2022), and *Full River Red*, the highest-grossing Asian film of 2023. His latest project, *Big World* (2024), has also made waves, winning the TIFF-JP Audience Award despite its low budget.
Continuing to challenge himself with ambitious projects, he stars in the Cannes-winning film *Resurrection* (2025). Over the course of his career, Yee has held leading roles in films that have collectively earned over US$2.8 billion globally, with nearly 500 million admissions.
