David Howell Evans, widely recognized as The Edge, was born on August 8, 1961. He is an accomplished Irish musician and songwriter, celebrated primarily as the lead guitarist, keyboardist, and backing vocalist for the iconic rock band U2. Since the band's formation in 1976, The Edge has been an integral part of their sound, contributing to a remarkable catalog that includes 14 studio albums and one solo project.
