Biography

Glen Thomas Powell Jr. (born October 21, 1988) is an accomplished American actor whose career has evolved significantly since his early days in the industry. He made his acting debut in minor roles, appearing in movies like *Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over* (2003) and *Fast Food Nation* (2006). His filmography expanded with notable roles in *The Expendables 3* (2014) and the popular comedy-horror series *Scream Queens* (2015–2016). Powell showcased his versatility in projects such as the teen comedy *Everybody Wants Some!!* (2016), the historical romance *The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society* (2018), and the charming romantic comedy *Set It Up* (2018).

He garnered critical acclaim for his portrayal of astronaut John Glenn in the Oscar-nominated film *Hidden Figures* (2016) and took on the role of aviator Tom Hudner in the war drama *Devotion* (2022). However, it was his performance in the blockbuster *Top Gun: Maverick* (2022) that catapulted him to stardom.
