Rob Riggle
Biography
Robert Allen Riggle Jr., born on April 21, 1970, in Louisville, Kentucky, is a multifaceted American actor, stand-up comedian, and former United States Marine officer. Riggle enlisted in the Marines in 1990, ultimately rising to the rank of lieutenant colonel during his service.
He gained prominence as a correspondent on Comedy Central's The Daily Show from 2006 to 2008, and he was part of the cast of NBC's iconic sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live from 2004 to 2005. Riggle is also recognized for his recurring role as Gil Thorpe on the popular sitcom Modern Family, which aired from 2013 to 2019. His film career includes memorable performances in comedies such as Step Brothers (2008), The Hangover (2009), Killers (2010), The Internship (2013), Let's Be Cops (2014), My Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 (2016), and How to Be a Latin Lover (2017). Additionally, he co-starred in the Adult Swim series NTSF:SD:SUV::. In 2012, Riggle took over from Frank Caliendo for the comedic segments of Fox NFL Sunday, showcasing his knack for sports humor. Currently, he co-hosts the miniature golf game show Holey Moley alongside Joe Tessitore on ABC, continuing to entertain audiences with his distinct comedic style.
