Biography
Brady James Monson Corbet, born on August 17, 1988, is a multifaceted American writer-director and former actor. He began his career in the acting realm, featuring in an array of films such as *Thirteen*, *Mysterious Skin*, *Funny Games*, *Martha Marcy May Marlene*, *Melancholia*, and *Clouds of Sils Maria*. His television credits include a role in the fifth season of the Fox series *24* and the HBO miniseries *Olive Kitteridge*.
Corbet transitioned to directing with his debut film, *The Childhood of a Leader*, which marked the start of an impressive directorial journey. He went on to helm the musical drama *Vox Lux*, followed by the period piece *The Brutalist*. His work on *The Brutalist* garnered significant acclaim, earning him the Silver Lion at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, as well as the Best Director award at the 82nd Golden Globe Awards.
