Jesse Hutch
Biography
Jesse James Hutch, born in Alberta, Canada—hailing from the same province as the iconic Marvel character Wolverine—discovered his passion for storytelling at the young age of ten when he watched the animated classic "The Hobbit." Throughout his high school years, he earned the nickname "Hardcore" Hutch, thanks to his adventurous pursuits, which included white-water rafting, kayaking, free climbing, and mountain biking. He often captured these thrilling activities on video, creating short films that showcased his creativity. One notable incident during a history class involved Hutch staging a dramatic hostage takeover presentation, complete with smoke grenades, paintball guns, and even a triggered fire alarm, resulting in high marks despite the fire department's involvement.
With a penchant for collecting movie posters, Hutch was considered a natural performer from childhood. He transitioned into professional acting in 2001, landing his first audition for the show "Dark Angel" (FOX), where he portrayed a mutant. His second audition for "Wolf Lake" (CBS) was unfortunately conflicted by his commitment to "Dark Angel." Over the years, he has starred in numerous lead roles, including a romantic comedy teacher in "My Boyfriend's Dogs" (Hallmark), a race car driver in "Joy Ride 3" (20th Century Fox), and a Navy SEAL in "True Justice" (Reelz).
His television credits include appearances in popular series such as "Once Upon A Time," "Smallville," and "Heartland." Hutch has also featured in films like "The Butterfly Effect," "Freddy vs. Jason," and "Scary Movie 3." Known for performing most of his stunts, he has trained in kickboxing and Muay Thai, reflecting his love for action and adventure. Ultimately, Hutch considers his most significant roles to be those of husband, father, son, brother, and adventurous spirit.
