Éric Elmosnino, born on May 2, 1964, is a distinguished French actor and musician celebrated for his compelling performances in film and theater. He gained international acclaim for his portrayal of the iconic French singer Serge Gainsbourg in the biographical film "Gainsbourg," a role that earned him the prestigious César Award for Best Actor.

Elmosnino honed his craft at the National Conservatory of Dramatic Art, where he developed a strong foundation in performance. Following his education, he collaborated with renowned director Jean-Pierre Vincent at the Théâtre Nanterre-Amandiers, where he began to establish himself in the theatrical scene.

In 1992, he garnered attention with his role as Christian Ribet in "Tableau d'honneur" (Honour Roll), directed by Charles Nemes.
