Tawny Cypress, born on August 8, 1976, is an accomplished American actress known for her diverse roles in both television and theater. She gained significant recognition for her portrayal of Simone Deveaux in the popular TV series Heroes. Additionally, Cypress starred as Ginger "Love Tap" LeBeau, a police officer grappling with the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, in the Fox drama K-Ville.
Cypress's heritage is a rich tapestry; her father has Hungarian and German roots, while her mother is of African-American and Native American descent. Born and raised in Point Pleasant, New Jersey, she has since made her home in New York City, where she continues to pursue her acting career.
