Biography
Jaeden Martell, born on January 4, 2003, is an accomplished American actor renowned for his dynamic performances. He initially rose to fame playing Bill Denbrough in the 2017 film adaptation of Stephen King's horror classic, *It*, and reprised the role in the sequel, *It Chapter Two* (2019). His impressive filmography also includes standout roles in the mystery thriller *Knives Out* (2019) and the Apple TV miniseries *Defending Jacob* (2020).
Martell hails from South Philadelphia and moved to Los Angeles at the age of eight. He is the son of Wes Lieberher, a chef, and Angela Teresa Martell, and has Korean heritage from his maternal grandmother, Chisun Martell. For the first part of his career, he was credited under his family name, Lieberher, but in 2019, he transitioned to using his mother's surname, Martell.
His acting journey began with commercial work for brands like Hot Wheels and Verizon, leading to his first major film role in *St. Vincent* (2014) alongside Bill Murray, who later recommended him for Cameron Crowe's *Aloha* (2015). Martell continued to build his reputation with performances in *The Book of Henry* (2017) and more recently, he participated in the upcoming projects *Y2K* and *Arcadian*, both set for release in 2024. As he explores diverse roles, Jaeden Martell is rapidly establishing himself as a standout talent in the industry.
